Authors Argument: The authors argument is that the grades between single sex instruction and co-ed learning is inconsistent.

Evidence: That means that single sex eduction does not mean better grades for the students. Although the teachers felt that the learning environment was better in the single sex environment rather than the co-ed environment. Although the students felt the other way. Their studies showed that boys recieve more attention throughout school than girls. They also found that boys were more ambigious in the single sex education situation. The girls responses to the single sex education setting was more optimismic.

Assumtions: Single sex education settings create a more cohesive educational setting compared to a co-ed sitting. That does not mean better grades though, just maybe fewer distractions.

This is a credible source because these three authors did the research needed to write this.
